What is Privacy Policy about?

Privacy Policy - an official document aimed at establishing clear and lawful relationships between the user and the owner of Symvault regarding the user’s personal and non-personal data, its usage, processing and sharing. It was created and published to minimize possible risks for both sides, prevent misunderstanding and law disputes.

In general, the text provides the user with detailed information about all the measures and procedures, which will be applied to the user’s data after he starts interacting with the service. Paragraphs of this document include additional statements, policies and terms connected with third-party advertising, user’s rights, data protection and so on. This Privacy Policy, as well as Terms of Use, is applied immediately and automatically after the installation of Symvault, start of interaction with the service or visiting this official website. All the statements and paragraphs mentioned in this document are compulsory and have to be accepted by the user in advance.

Which information is required?

Contact personal data is required for basic identification of every consumer. It can be obtained from free open sources or submitted by the user himself (this includes real name, sex, age, location, contact details, etc).
Device requirements and other technical details - information about the user’s device, which interacts with the service (phone model, iOS version, screen resolution, hardware model, etc).
Log data file will be received automatically from the device in case something goes wrong during the usage. The owner of Symvault collects this data to detect and solve the problem, restore the work of the program and minimize possible aftermaths for both sides.
Ways of interaction and other information about in-app activity is necessary for determining the user’s preferences, tracking his interaction with the service, purposes and so on, detecting fraudulent activity.

We don’t collect any kinds of sensitive information or statements, which aren’t required for correct work of Symvault, its improvement or support. We don’t access or view any visual materials uploaded by the user to the secret holder. Furthermore, we don’t sell any gathered information to third-parties.

The user accepts cookies policy immediately and automatically at the moment he visits the official website of Symvault, starts interacting with the app itself or any other part of our service. We apply such tracking technologies, included but not limited to cookie files, to track, gather and store some information about the user’s individual preferences, needs, likes and dislikes. The required information is based on the user’s online actions. The user is free to deny this policy and reject further information gathering.

Purposes of gathering and processing

The data we process and store lets us improve the work of Symvault and the service itself, making them more relevant, convenient and user-oriented. To implement this, we have to analyze the individual preferences, needs and device requirements of every consumer, who starts interacting with the service. In addition, it will be possible to avoid critical errors in the work of Symvault. The gathered user’s information is required for the work of analytical and statistical platforms we refer to, as they help distribute, promote and market our product effectively. The owner of Symvault has a right to refer to third-party services at his sole discretion, if they can provide him with the necessary tools for analytics and statistics.

In addition, we store the obtained data for in-app advertising, which includes time-limited promotional offers. They may be carried out only on an individual basis. For these advertising purposes, we have to track and analyze common and individual user’s preferences, needs and in-app actions. Some third-party advertising companies also require the mentioned data (all the details may be found in the paragraph below).

Third-party advertising

The owner of Symvault has a right to refer to third-party advertising companies. We are allowed to ask them to provide an ad stream, place banners, videos and so on. In order to procure an ad stream correctly, such companies require the information about the device, its technical requirements, user’s recent actions, needs, etc. Advertising may be carried out only on a target basis, according to the user's geolocation and preferences. We aren’t responsible for the content of advertising materials displayed by third-party companies.

Personal data protection

The owner of Symvault is responsible for ensuring an appropriate level of data safety. Consequently, the app owner is allowed to apply all the effective and generally accepted digital, physical or other methods at his own will to improve data protection. Although no ideal method exists, we work on providing a better level of protection to keep the information away from possible threats while gathering, storing, transmitting and sharing.

Required permissions:

Gallery access is needed for uploading the already existing images to the secret holder.
Camera access is required for taking photos, which are meant to be stored in Symvault, right from the application.

The user has a right to:

Be competently and timely informed about all the measures, actions and procedures that may be taken during data collecting, sharing and processing.
Ask the owner of Symvault to update or fully remove non-relevant personal information.
Decline any previously given permissions without explaining the reason.
Request for providing the user with a copy of all kinds of stored data.
Forbid further data usage while continuing interaction with the service. Nevertheless, the app owner will still be allowed to collect the information and store it in the database.
Appeal data usage in case the app owner commits any actions regarding the user’s data illegally or in a way that is not mentioned in the current version of Privacy Policy.
Complain to any criminal investigation authority at his will to protect the data and rights.

Privacy Policy updates

We reserve a right to commit actions, which lead to text modifying, at any moment. It’s possible to update the whole text or just its parts. The owner doesn’t have to warn the user in advance. You should update this page to be aware of changes and familiarize with them in time, as they come into force right after publishing. No other way of notifying will be applied.
